Kylesku to Drumbeg road

The undulating hills, rocky ridges and numerous lochans that this road, the B869, traverses through are typical of the scenery formed by the ancient Lewisian gneiss rocks. A journey along this road is dominated by the views of Quinag, which is formed of Torridonian sandstone. The road leaves the A894 near Unapool and runs along the north coast of the Assynt area to Drumbeg. A circular journey can be made by continuing through the villages of Clashnessie, Stoer and Clachtoll to join the A837 near Lochinver.
