Look across Loch Glencoul to the mountains which carry the scars of two major thrust planes, formed when the Earth moved in a big way. The line of the Moine thrust and the Glencoul thrust can be clearly seen on the Stack of Glencoul. Loch Glencoul itself was gouged out by glaciers.
