Ullapool
Look out over Loch Broom and trace the marks left by mountain building, glaciers and changes in sea levels. The hills over the water are formed of rocks that were once 70 kms away. Huge movements in the Earths crust have pushed the rocks westwards. Then the sheets of ice that once covered this area carved the rocks into the shapes you see today.
