Stronchrubie
This broad U-shaped valley was originally eroded by huge glaciers. See evidence of this in scratches left on the rocks made by ice grinding over them, and the piles of debris dumped when the glaciers melted. Some of the forces that shaped this landscape are still at work; rain water, running down from the hills and into the river, carrys with it bits of rock from the smallest fragments to large boulders.
