A dramatic mountain that the weather is gradually wearing down. The sandstone rocks are being eroded by wind, rain and ice into castle like turrets and pinnacles. There is a good mountain path that circles Stac Pollaidh. It starts from the car park 8km / 5 miles along the Achiltibuie road from the junction with the A835. The nearest toilets are in Achiltibuie, 8.5 miles /14 kms further west.
