Loch Assynt
Look across loch Assynt to see some of the oldest rocks on the planet and discover how the landscape they formed was lost through time, "fossilised" when younger rocks were laid down on top of them. Ice sheets and glaciers have removed the younger, softer rocks so we can see the hills and valleys of an ancient landscape.
