Scourie Bay
The Scourie Bay area offers outstanding vistas of the ancient Lewisian gneiss. Younger dykes are clearly visible, especially on the shore, cutting through the ancient rocks, but these themselves have been folded in some places. Park in the car park by the cemetry and walk along the beach to see the rocks. Be aware whether the tide is coming in or going out and plan your trip accordingly.
